SDS (Software Defined Simulator) is a new product line developed by
VRM, that provides modularity on synthetic training, and requires
minimum implementation effort on hardware.
It is a specially designed unified platform where the customer can
use one simulator for flight training on various aircraft. Onboard
experience has traditionally been required as a practical necessity for
learning the skills of a trainee. SDS is designed to provide
sufficient levels of fidelity, to support individual, mission
and tactical training, that is easier
and more affordable. SDS enables the interconnection of
real-time platform level simulators for participation in simulated
exercises. SDS pilot training is more specific, safer, ecological and
economical.
